It will still be a long wait for "Outlander" Season 3 but fans of the Sam Heughan drama finally came upon some very good news. The highly anticipated return of the Starz show has been given a tentative air date, which could be sometime in August. The announcement was made via an interesting video featuring Heughan and onscreen wife Caitriona Balfe, who may have revealed that the two are flying together to South Africa.

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have long endured fans shipping a possible relationship between the two, mostly due to the undeniable chemistry between the two stars of the series based on Diana Gabaldon's novels. It certainly doesn't help that Heughan and Balfe are reportedly travelling with each other to South Africa to continue working on "Outlander" Season 3. Has the onscreen romance finally come true?

The "Outlander" Season 3 air date (or at least, premiere month) was reported by Deadline. In addition to that, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe confirmed the show's fall premiere through an awesome video. The teaser shows the costars enumerating everything they are looking forward to in South Africa and temporarily saying goodbye to Scotland.

It was not confirmed whether Heughan and Balfe will be taking a trip together. However, fans immediately jumped on the possibility that the actors will be boarding the same plane to film more scenes for the Starz series. There are several speculations about the "Outlander" Season 3 air date.

Fans were initially expecting the third season to premiere in spring, at around the same time as its predecessors. However, production has been pushed back, so "Outlander" Season 3 is expected to wrap by June. Hopefully, the show will be back in early September so fans could see more of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe together in the small screen.
