One thing that makes "Yuri On Ice" so different from other anime is its realistic concept. The characters in the hit Japanese sports anime television series tackles real-life experiences, making it relatable to a lot of viewers. In fact, the characters are so real that they even got together to make an epic "Yuri On Ice" selfie.

Fans in Japan had the chance to relive all the amazing episodes of "Yuri On Ice" as TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills just recently held a marathon event last February 11. The exciting event included a talk show segment, attended by special guests like the show's creator, Mitsurou Kubo, voice actors for Yuri Katsuki (Toshiyuki Toyonaga), Victor Nikiforov (Junichi Suwabe), and Yuri Plisetsky a.k.a. Yurio (Kouki Uchiyama).

After the "Yuri On Ice" marathon and talk show concluded, an epic selfie of the show's characters was shared online. Although they were all aiming for the gold on the popular series, the characters put the competition aside and posed for a group shot using a monopod, also known as a selfie stick.

Meanwhile, fans still can't get over the result in "Yuri On Ice" Season 1 Episode 12. Viewers were hooked with Yuri's amazing figure skating skills and his chemistry with Victor Nikiforov, Yuri's ultimate idol and coach. With their tandem, Yuri should bag the gold medal without a sweat. But unlike the other animated series, the show's protagonist had to experience defeat.

However, viewers already figured out that Yuri will only bag the silver medal in the season's finale. Now proven to be true, many believed that his purpose is not yet done and may finally take the gold in the highly-wanted "Yuri On Ice" Season 2. Mitsurou Kubo already showed interest in making the highly-anticipated sequel but there is still no word on the official "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 release date.
