Ryan Murphy has shared new information with Entertainment Weekly about a future season of "American Horror Story", which will bring in a character from the first season who ends up in the world of witchcraft seen in "Coven". The crossover, which Murphy specified would not happen in "American Horror Story" Season 7, is set to feature several characters from the first and third seasons. The creator even joked that show mainstay Sarah Paulson might portray "18 characters" in one season alone.

The whole idea of Sarah Paulson playing multiple characters is not exactly a new concept. The possibility was mentioned by io9 as one of the crazy possible themes for "American Horror Story" Season 7 after the actress portrayed three different characters in "Roanoke". Although Paulson will not be playing 18 characters in the seventh season, there is still a huge possibility she will take on several new personalities in the FX series.
