Universal Studios Japan Adds New Terrifying Titan Statue, 'Attack on Titan' Editor Arrested For Allegedly Murdering Wife

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is set for a spectacular comeback this year, with the beloved anime finally releasing the long-awaited second season. While fans can't wait for the series to air, there's a lot of events happening while the series is in development.

For one, Universal Studios in Japan is celebrating the upcoming release of "Attack on Titan" season 2. The Japanese theme park has erected a massive and terrifying Titan statue based on the series. While Universal Studios Japan already has an "Attack on Titan" presence, the new one is so much bigger and scarier than the first one, Comic Book noted. It appears that Universal Studios Japan is going to celebrate the coming of the second season in a big way.

Fans can preview the giant armored Titan at the Universal Studio Japan, via Mantan Web. The colossal statue attracts all sorts of visitors since it's a perfect spot, where you can take your pictures from. The huge Titan looks almost the real thing, as it looms scarily towards visitors. This enormous armored statue is just perfect to draw in the crowd for the upcoming "Attack on Titan" season 2. Aside from this jaw-dropping landmark, Universal Studios Japan will also offer a 4D movie titled "Attack on Titan: The Real."

Meanwhile, former "Attack on Titan" editor Jung-hyun Park was arrested for allegedly killing his 38-year-old wife at Tokyo last year, Kotaku reported. Park was the chief editor when the manga was first released in 2009. From Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, he moved to Weekly Morning as of June last year. That means, he was no longer associated with the manga nor was he editing for "Attack on Titan" season 2 when the crime happened. His wife was found at the foot of the stairs, but the cause of death was suffocation.
