The Orlando Magic are filled with young and future stars but the fact is the team needs some good old experience in the mix. There are several names in the market and one that recently cropped in recent NBA trade speculations is the name of Goran Dragic of the Miami Heat.

Goran Dragic’s name isn’t necessarily new when it comes to potential NBA trade moves. Though he and Hassan Whiteside are considered to be the new foundations of the rebuilding Miami Heat, his inconsistent play has been singled out time and again. With the NBA trade deadline happening next month, Dragic and even Whiteside are now among the names cropping up as possibly moving.

Before anything else, it should be noted that both Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside may only be dealt if the Heat’s asking price are met. Both players carry expensive contracts which could whittle down the teams interested in their services. Heat management made it clear that both are not being shopped though Miami will be listening to offers. Last week, it was Whiteside under the radar because of his inconsistent play.

Despite being signed to a lucrative $98 million deal, the 27-year-old center has only managed to come up with 5 double-double performances. Whiteside is aware of the NBA trade talk buzz but says he is not paying much attention to them, the Sun Sentinel reported. On the other end, Dragic’s names cropped up when the Orlando Magic reportedly inquired on the Slovenian’s availability. Head coach Frank Vogel is looking for maturity and it could all start at the point guard position.

Elfrid Payton is currently the one tasked to do so but his current production is still lacking for the Magic, CBS reported. The Magic have two options if the Heat are interested. The Magic could trade Payton and Nikola Vucevic for Dragic which means sacrificing some young talent. The second is dealing Jeff Green and his $15 million contract plus some future draft picks.
