Billy Bob Thornton's show, "Goliath" Season 1, has been well received by viewers. The American legal drama web television series was even dubbed as Amazon's "top binged" show. Fans have been expecting "Goliath" Season 2 to be released as soon as possible, and with its instant success, the possibility of a sequel is not far from happening.

While talking to the press at the backstage of Golden Globe Awards, Billy Bob Thornton revealed important details regarding the much-awaited "Goliath" Season 2, as reported by Deadline. The 61-year-old actor, filmmaker, and musician shared that he believes the show still has a lot to offer and it only makes sense for it to be proceeded to season 2. While Amazon has yet to comment on their plans for the show, Billy Bob Thornton noted that the people behind "Goliath" wants to do a sequel.

"I honestly believe there is more potential for this show beyond the first season,” the "Friday Night Lights" actor said. Billy Bob Thornton then added that he had been wanting to portray a lawyer and even went on to say that he could relate to the character. His connection with his "Goliath" role, Billy McBride, may have been the reason why his acting on the show was extraordinary, which led fans to praise Billy Bob Thornton for his outstanding portrayal.

Amazon has a lot of binge-worthy shows, but "Goliath" Season 1 instantly became a hit to the viewers, taking the top spot as being the most watched show. Being an original series, it is actually quite hard to measure the show's ratings.
