The world is still waiting for "Red Dead Redemption 2" to finally hit the stores, but it looks like someone already knows when the highly anticipated title will be available. A British retailer has accidentally revealed the game's possible release date. But is it possible that the Rockstar Games sequel will be out sooner than expected?

The online shop Littlewoods has just added "Red Dead Redemption 2" to its listing, confirming that the upcoming title is currently available for pre-order. In addition to that, the retailer also revealed that the title from Rockstar Games will be released on October 2, 2017.

Littlewoods has since amended the page<, removing the possible "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date. In the meantime, the retailer assures that although the game is available for pre-order, it will only be available starting December 27, 2017. However, that hasn't stopped fans from wondering whether the leaked date is legit or not.

Some are quick to point out that October 2nd falls on a Monday, which is an unusual day to release a game (most titles are released on Tuesdays or Wednesdays). There are a few who question why Rockstar Games would choose to make "Red Dead Redemption 2" available much earlier than the holidays. Although it is uncommon, there have been several games that have been released on Monday.

It is important to note that Rockstar Games has already projected "Red Dead Redemption 2" for a fall release, so it would make sense that the title will be available in early October. It is best to point out that Rockstar Games has not yet given a formal announcement on the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date and the news must be taken with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that the release date as well as a better look at the game will all be revealed at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) later this year.
