NBA Trade Latest News & Updates: Ricky Rubio, Kenneth Faried Plausible Recruits For Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets lost Jeremy Lin once again and it may be time for head coach Kenny Atkinson to make some key moves. Hooking in a point guard seems urgent though he could consider netting another tough and reliable big guy as well.

Among the crop of point guards that the Brooklyn Nets could consider is Ricky Rubio. The Spaniard has been long speculated as changing zip codes soon though nothing has transpired. The Philadelphia 76ers were mentioned before, seeing the team is in the same vote of adding a reliable facilitator. Jeremy Lin’s hamstring injury recently acted up and there is no official timetable for when he would be returning to the Brooklyn Nets fold.

Hence, Atkinson is forced to revert to the likes of Sean Kilpatrick, Randy Foye, and Isaiah Whitehead, the NY Post reported. They were given the chance before but as most know floundered. Rubio has seen his playing time dip with most believing that Kris Dunn will be the new guard of the future for the T-Wolves.

The Spaniard does have questionable outside shooting though getting someone to rotate the ball and facilitate is what Atkinson would prefer. Other than the point guard situation, the Brooklyn Nets could use some help up front as well. One proven player who could be a prized land is Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets.

The “Manimal” has been eased out of the rotation of Mike Malone and trade moves have been mentioned time and again since he re-signed with the Nuggets, Nothin But Nets reported. These two players may not make an immediate impact for the Brooklyn Nets but can at least toughen up their roster. Making it all happen is another story, not to mention who or what the team may have to give up for Rubio and Faried.
