Niall Horan Hints ‘One Direction’ Reunion; Liam Payne, Harry Styles Working On Own Music?
Niall Horan teased that One Direction might be making a reunion sooner than expected in an interview with Sunday People. The news has sent fans of the band into a frenzy.
"We will be back. We would be silly not to...ridiculous," said Horan. He has been reportedly working on his music since the hiatus announcement in January. The singer is currently prepping the release of his debut album and is promoting his single, The Town. He also performed at the American Music Awards.
Horan said in the interview that at the moment, the band members are doing their own things. Harry Styles signed with Columbia back in June and has now landed himself a role in the upcoming Christopher Nolan's film, Dunkirk.
Liam Payne joined Republic Records last month and is reportedly working on an album. Louis Tomlinson is a new dad. He is now living in Los Angeles and taking care of his son while Zayn Malik, who left One Direction in 2015, has gone on a solo career with the Mind Of Mine LP, a designer deal with Versace and a revealing autobiography.
Horan further added in the interview that though no date has been set as of yet for the reunion of the band, it will not take them 50 years, however. It is foreseeable in the future as the band has talked about it but for now, they will just play be ear and see what happens.
In September, Styles also weighed in on the idea of the reunion of the band. The singer told Chelsea Handler in his cover story for Another Man magazine that he would never say that the band will never do anything ever again. He added that it will be better if the reunion happens naturally.
