UPDATE: Niantic Labs said on Sunday Some iOS users might experience login issue following "Pokémon GO" update version 1.1.0.

Following are the full text of the statement, including the solution of this issue:

Some iOS users might experience an issue where it appears that gameplay progress has been reset. Please be assured that your gameplay progress has NOT been lost. It remains safe and intact.

In the Pokémon GO update version 1.1.0 (build 31.0), we updated our Google Account login system and as a result, you may have inadvertently created another Pokémon GO account by logging in with a different Google email address than the one originally used for the game.

To resolve this issue, please sign in with the email address originally used to create your Pokémon GO account.

If you have inadvertently created a new Pokémon GO account by unintentionally signing in with a different Google account (eg., via Safari web browser on your iOS device), please follow the steps below:

  1. Either uninstall and reinstall the Pokémon GO app or sign out of your account (Pokémon GO>Main Menu>Settings>Sign Out)
    • NOTE: You may need to sign out of your account twice to ensure proper log out before signing back in with your correct account.
  2. Open Pokémon GO and select the Google login method.
  3. You will be redirected to the Safari web browser to complete the login process.
  4. Review the email address listed in the top right corner of the page. Ensure that the Google account presented is the same email address used when you originally created your Pokémon GO account.

If the email address does not match the email address used to create your Pokémon GO account, please sign out of Google and log back in with the appropriate account.
  5. Touch the "Allow" button and you will be redirected back to the Pokémon GO app.

Niantic Labs announced on late Thursday that "Pokemon Go" has been available in Japan. The mobile game might come to the rest of Asian countries soon.

"Everyone had been waiting for this," Ace Research Institute analyst Hideki Yasuda said, Bloomberg reported. "There's no doubt it will be popular in Japan as well."

After the launch in Japan, Nintendo's shares rose 4% , while McDonald's share price rose 6.6%.

McDonalds will be the first sponsor of the smartphone game in a deal, turns its 3,000 stores in Japan into Pokémon Go "gyms", Techcrunch reported earlier this week.

Macquarie Capital Securities analyst David Gibson said the reality game has become "the biggest mobile game ever in the U.S.", reported Wall Street Journal.

Niantic Labs have decided to postpone the release of "Pokemon Go" in Japan on Wednesday due to an email leak.

The leaked email revealed the details of sponsorships between the mobile game's makers and McDonalds. TechCrunch Reported that its sources said McDonalds has closed the deal that the company will turn its 3,000 stores in Japan into "gyms" as the first paying sponsor.

However, the launch of "Pokemon Go" in Japan is still unknown. The source of TechCrunch said was postponed to early afternoon from Wednesday Morning, and was cancelled due to concerns that "the hype generated would overload the game" following the email leak.

"Pokemon Go" has been available in Italy, Spain, and Portugal on both Play Store and App Store, following the UK and Germany launch this week. Trainers in the rest Europe countries might receive the game in next few days.

"Pokemon Go" release date in Asia, Canada, and South America is still unknown, however, reports suggested the game will be available in Asia this week. Trainers in Canada and South America have to wait a few days more.

Nintendo and Niantic Labs have rolled "Pokemon Go" out to Germany, ahead of the UK and the rest of Europe. However, the Game makers still do not give the schedule of Europe, Canada, and South America launch. Nintendo shares have gone up more than 50% since Pokemon Go release.

Meanwhile, "Pokemon Go" version 1.0.2 is now available on iOS devices for the permitted regions.

The recent augmented reality mobile game "Pokemon Go" got its first update version 1.0.1 since its official launch last week, bringing some much-needed bug fixes. The update is now available for downloading in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand.

"Pokemon Go" version 1.0.1 fixed a major potential issue that the smartphone game obtains full access to a user's Google account during the sign-up process, which allows Niantic Labs to have access to user's Gmail messages, Google Drive documents, and more. Now, "Pokémon Go" will not ask for it.

Previously, The Verge reported that Niantic claims the company did not intend to request full Google account access, "We recently discovered that the Pokémon GO account creation process on iOS erroneously requests full access permission for the user's Google account. However, Pokémon Go only accesses basic Google profile information (specifically, your User ID and email address) and no other Google account information is or has been accessed or collected."

According to Niantic Labs, the new update also fixes crashes issues and adds stability to the game:

Thank you for your incredible response and support of Pokémon GO! We are working hard to improve the experience for everyone. This update focuses on making Pokémon GO more stable with the following improvements:

- Trainers do not to have to enter their username and password repeatedly after a force log out

- Added stability to Pokémon Trainer Club account log-in process

- Resolved issues causing crashes

- Fixed Google account scope

Pokémon Go has become a great success since its launch on July 5, making an $1.6 million daily revenue with nearly 7.5 million downloads in the United States. As of now, the game is available in 3 countries only. Its global release is delayed due to servers down issue caused by unexpected downloads.

"Pokemon Go" is reportedly "coming soon to Canada, Europe, and South America," however, the game's makers still do not say anything about the global release. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal said "Pokemon Go" may come to Europe, Japan and other Asian countries in "just a few days".
