Happy owners have happy dogs, but a happy pet dog can also make you walk out of anxiety and restlessness that has been entangling your personality since you don't know when!

A breakthrough in the field of mental health and science, anxiety and depression characterized by the chemical imbalance in the brain can put life on hold and make you super uncomfortable. Following the lethargic routine, the constant anxiety can make you sluggish and can even cut you loose from your social circle, deteriorating your social glow and manifesting your social moods.

But not anymore as keeping a simple dog as a pet can eradicate your fears and apprehensions making you free from bewilderment. Especially for children who remain unacquainted with the condition they are dwelling in, it becomes substantially challenging to cope with their condition. A study initiated at the Basset Medical Center in New York, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Dartmouth Medical School, the research maintained that children of age 6 to 7 with dogs as pet are less susceptible to anxiety.

As part of the program, 643 children were comprehensively analyzed for over 18 months. Linking clinical anxiety with the presence of dogs, Huffington Post claims that there was a 10% blatant variation in anxiety for children with and without dogs.

"From a mental health standpoint, children aged seven to eight often ranked pets higher than humans as providers of comfort and self-esteem and as confidants," establishes Headline and Global News.

The research, however, takes a pause and claims that researchers have not yet developed a clear-cut association with the presence of dogs and how anxiety is surprisingly related. Examiners are still keen to identify whether it is the presence of dogs that reduces anxiety or whether there is another factor involved which revolves around keeping a pet dog.

Keeping up with the tradition, dogs have always been man's best friend and researches have further validated it. Recent studies show that dogs are useful in reducing the asthma and allergy rates and even in some cases, they are used to treat PTSD.
