Genius Bar in Apple Stores is meant to help you with any questions regarding service and repair of your Apple device. However, with so many people using Apple these days, it can be a pain to get your request serviced in time. Imagine the interminable wait just so that you can get the lightning cable replaced! Thanks to the forward thinking of crew at Cupertino, you may not have to waste so much time after all, in some cases save a trip altogether. Sonny Dickson and uSwitch leaked screenshots of the app that Apple might be working on that can help troubleshoot your device, offer repair services and resolve common issues through the app itself. According to these screenshots, you will be able to chat with the advisor at Apple who can directly schedule your store visit or help you in sending in the device for repair. You can also take reference from guides that are included in the App to help troubleshoot some of the issues yourself, reports Tech Insider.

It is not known when the app will be available or when it will be launched, assuming that such an app even is in the making. It is also possible that the support software is taken into the fold of the existing Apple Store App rather than creating a new one. Either ways, it will really help to improve the overall customer support experience. Even if you don't have to wait too long to be addressed, it can save you a lot of research and problem solving steps by finding all the necessary information from a reliable source. A service app like this can be incredibly useful to Mac, iPhone and iPad users since there are many issues that can be solved without the need to repair the hardware, as reported by Engadget.
