Microsoft Surface Book Owners Complain About Flickering Screen

Soon after the new hybrid laptop of Microsoft, Surface Book, made it into the market, the users have already started reporting issues with its display screen. Microsoft has flung into action to correct the problem of screen flickering issue that has been reported by some users. The problem that is being discussed extensively on Reddit and forums of Microsoft makes the display of the laptop turn on and off rapidly with no immediate fix to the problem. The users who have spend an upwards of $2,000 on this latest machine have found that the issue exists, with or without the keyboard dock, reports Tech Insider.

According to The Register, people who own the first batch of this coveted laptop are furious with the screen problem. There have been extensive discussions on the forums that talk about sporadic winking of the system. Microsoft has confirmed that the fix will be made available to the users soon. Microsoft issued a statement to The Register, "A small number of customers have flagged some issues with their Surface Book. We are working hard to resolve them quickly and easily with Windows Update." A video was captured by a Surface Book owner that shows how the machine becomes useless. The user, JohnnyLocust, said "Spent about 2 hours with tech support on the phone. All we did was a complete factory reset and re install the latest firmware and drivers. One hour later, the flicker started right back up". Even though the problem is still undiagnosed, many users have said that by turning off the hypervisor in windows that makes the machine virtual mostly solves the problem.
